Irving Will See and Hear Increase of Air Traffic After DFW Airport Temporarily Closes Primary Runway

DFW International Airport (DFW) has started a runway rehabilitation program on the west side of the airport (Runway 13R/31L). Due to the construction and operational changes, Irving neighborhoods may hear an increase in air traffic through mid-November.

DFW's flight tracking website can be used to see near-live flight tracks, read runway project news, daily statistics and a feature that allows the public to input their address to view current and historical flights in their vicinity. The website can be accessed from DFW Airport’s Noise page.

Residents with inquiries or comments can contact DFW Airport via email or by calling the 24/7 Noise Complaint Hotline at (972) 973-3192, which is manned 24/7). Follow-up response calls or emails will be provided, when requested. Additionally, visit the Aircraft Noise Webpage for more latest information.
