The Irving Police Department has requested that the Texas Department of Public Safety activate an Amber Alert for Gianina Martinez, four months of age, who is believed to be in imminent danger. The child was taken by her father, Germey Martinez, 29 years of age, with unknown clothing at this time, after he assaulted and threatened to kill the victim at their apartment at approximately 10 am this morning in the 6300 block of N. MacArthur. The suspect may have been picked up by a friend driving a white Toyota Tundra truck, LP: 18939DV.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Gianina Martinez, call 911. The suspect is possibly armed, DO NOT attempt to make contact.
UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been canceled. Gianina Martinez was located safely and reunited with her mom. The suspect, Germey Martinez, was arrested by Irving Tactical Unit in the 700 block of Walnut Ridge and transferred to the Irving City Jail.
