Notice is hereby given that the Irving City Council will conduct a public hearing at the date and time listed above, to consider the following items:
Ordinances -- Amending Chapter 8B “Building Codes” of the City of Irving Land Development Code by Amending the following Sections as noted below; Adopting Penalty Provisions; and Providing For Severability, Savings, and An Effective Date:
- Amending 8b-1, 8b-2, and 8b-5, Adopting the 2021 Edition of the International Building Code as the Commercial Building Code for the City of Irving, Texas; Providing Local Amendments, Additions, and Deletions Thereto;
- Amending Sections 8b-6 through 8b-8, Adopting the 2021 Edition of the International Residential Code as the Residential Building Code for the City of Irving, Texas; Providing Local Amendments, Additions, and Deletions Thereto;
- Amending Sections 8b-9 through 8b-11, Adopting the 2021 Edition of The International Energy Conservation Code as the Energy Conservation Code for the City of Irving, Texas; Providing Local Amendments, Additions, and Deletions Thereto;
- Amending Sections 8b-12 through 8b-14, Adopting the 2021 Edition of The International Plumbing Code as the Plumbing Code for the City of Irving, Texas; Providing Local Amendments, Additions, and Deletions Thereto;

- Amending Sections 8b-21 through 8b-23, Adopting the 2020 Edition of The National Electrical Code as the Electrical Code for the City of Irving; Providing Local Amendments, Additions, and Deletions Thereto;
- Adding Sections 8b-24 through 8b-26, Adopting the 2021 Edition of The International Existing Building Code as the Existing Building Code for the City of Irving, Texas; Providing Local Amendments, Additions, and Deletions Thereto;

Ordinance -- An Ordinance Amending Section 17-4 of Chapter 17 of The Land Development Code of The City of Irving, Texas, By Adopting The International Fire Code, 2021 Edition With Amendments; Designating It As The Fire Code Of The City Of Irving; Repealing Ordinance Nos. Ord-2015-9753 And Ord-2020-10324 of The Land Development Code of The City of Irving, Texas; Providing A Severability Clause; And Providing An Effective Date
