Trinity Railway Express (TRE) passengers can expect delays on Saturday, March 18, as charter buses will replace trains between EBJ Union and Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing stations.
Specially marked TRE chartered shuttles will be available for passengers at the red “Rail Disruption” signs near each affected station. Charter buses will be available on a regular basis to ensure passenger delays are minimal. Staff will be available on the platforms to help passengers.
One shuttle route will serve EBJ Union, Victory and Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing stations. A second will operate between Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing and Medical/Market Center stations, and also provide connections to DART’s Southwestern Medical District/Parkland Station.
The temporary disruption of TRE service will permit bridge reconstruction, which is needed to complete the double-track operation in the Market Center area that will improve schedule efficiency. Normal service will resume on Monday, March 20.
