A $24 million project to extend Conflans Road between Valley View Lane and State Highway 161 begins soon! The project includes the construction of a 1,607-foot-long bridge across Bear Creek. Irving residents along Conflans Road and Valley View Lane will see major paving, drainage, water, and wastewater improvement construction occurring between Valley View Lane and State Highway (SH) 161 as part of the Conflans Road Extension Project.
This $24 million project, awarded to Zachry Construction Corporation at the March 30, 2023, Irving City Council Meeting, will include the construction of a 1,607-foot-long bridge across Bear Creek in addition to a 12-foot-wide shared-use path. The project will reconstruct and extend Conflans Road from SH 161 to Valley View Lane at its intersection with F.A.A. Boulevard. This project will complete the far western end of this four-lane divided major collector in accordance with the City of Irving's Master Thoroughfare Plan.
The project is expected to take about two years to complete.
