Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement identified the body as that of 23-year-old Nickolas Elmon Bengochea, a Hispanic male from Waco, Texas. The young man was a former student of Burleson High School, but there was no information available at the time regarding the reason for his presence in Irving.
The investigation took a distressing turn when the Dallas County Medical Examiner's office ruled the cause of death as suicide.
