In an incident that unfolded in the early hours of Monday morning, a single motorcycle accident claimed the life of 58-year-old Cary Don Griggs of Midland. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that Griggs was fatally injured in the crash, which occurred on FM 1208, nine miles west of Stanton, Texas.
Griggs was riding his 2021 Harley Davidson northbound on FM 1208 when the tragic accident occurred. As he approached the bridge on FM 1208, Griggs lost control of his motorcycle, resulting in a collision with a curb. Despite the efforts of first responders and emergency medical personnel, Griggs succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Griggs was not alone on the motorcycle at the time of the accident. Carlea Paige Bullock, a 25-year-old passenger, was also present during the crash. Bullock was immediately transported to the Odessa Medical Center for medical treatment. Her condition has been reported as stable, and she is expected to recover from the injuries sustained in the accident.
