On August 28, 2023, at 4:33 am, Plano Fire/EMS and PD were dispatched to a serious injury crash between a vehicle and pedestrian on PGBT near Independence Parkway.
A witness stated a man jumped out in front of his vehicle on the tollway. Officers along with FD arrived within minutes and located a male lying in the third lane of traffic and began blocking traffic.
Officers observed that the male had been hit more than once by vehicles and had no signs of life.
DPS dispatch advised they saw the man walk out and lay down quickly in front of vehicles as an apparent suicide attempt.
