Detectives in Garland have identified a man found deceased under a bridge overpass. The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 56-year-old Genovevo Gonzalez and concluded that the injuries sustained by Mr. Gonzalez are consistent with a fall.
Detectives believe Mr. Gonzalez fell from the bridge overpass on Duck Creek Drive, near the East Oates Road intersection. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the fall and whether it was intentional or accidental.
On August 24, 2023, when the body was found, Officers determined the male was deceased with injuries indicating foul play. The case at the time had been classified as a homicide.
Garland Detectives encourage anyone who may have seen Mr. Gonzalez walking the area on August 24, around 1 PM, to call 972-485-4840.
