On August 28, 2023, just after 10:00 AM, Garland police officers were dispatched to 342 West Oates Road, Audubon Park, following reports of a male subject potentially unconscious in a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found the male to be deceased, with evident signs of a gunshot wound, suggesting he had fallen victim to a violent incident.
The deceased has been identified as Arturo Pena, 21 years old, from Mesquite. Strikingly, Mr. Pena had been reported missing to the Dallas Police Department on August 27, 2023, as per case number 154529-2023.
Garland detectives arrived at the scene to investigate. They are actively processing all collected evidence in their pursuit to unravel the circumstances leading to this event.
