Construction on the new event center at the Farmers Branch Historical Park is well underway - and it has now been named "Venue 1842" by the City Council.
The foundation has been poured and now the framing has begun. When finished, the facility will be an 8,100 square foot structure for weddings, receptions, parties, educational programs and special City events. It will seat up to 200 guests in a reception-style configuration.
When the project is complete, the City will plant 30 trees in the Historical Park, to enhance the overall view and replace approximately eight trees which were removed before construction began.
