On September 9, 2023, the Seguin Police Department responded to an assault in progress on Clark St., where Terry Simmons Jr. had been stabbed during a dispute with his brother, Trey-Vel Simmons. Terry was hospitalized in critical condition, and Trey-Vel was arrested for Aggravated Assault- Family Violence. Unfortunately, Terry Simmons Jr. succumbed to his injuries on September 13, 2023, leading to a Murder charge against Trey-Vel Simmons, who remains in custody at Guadalupe County Jail.
