The Coppell Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in locating a missing juvenile, Ananya Kella, aged 16. Ananya was last seen on September 25, 2023, at Coppell High School and has not been heard from since.
Ananya was last seen at approximately 5:15 PM on the aforementioned date. She was expected to board her bus for her journey home but was observed walking away from the school campus instead. Concerns for her safety have grown, prompting her family and local authorities to request the community's help in locating her.
At the time of her disappearance, Ananya was wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie, as seen in the photo.
UPDATE 1: September 26, 2023, 8:00 AM - Ananya remains missing. While there is currently no reason to suspect foul play, the police are actively searching for her and urging anyone with information to come forward.
UPDATE 2: September 26, 2023, 8:45 AM - Officers revealed that Ring video footage captured Ananya walking on Black Oak Circle at 5:28 PM on September 25, 2023. Authorities are now urging residents in and around that area to review their video camera footage to help determine her whereabouts following this sighting.
UPDATE 3: September 26, 2023, 9:30 AM - Ananya is still missing. Officers have located video footage of her walking northbound at 700 N. Denton Tap on September 25, 2023 at 5:53 PM. We still ask that anyone in those areas keep an eye out and check their security video footage.
UPDATE 4: Coppell Police say Ananya has been found safe.
