The Round Rock Police Department is actively searching for 30-year-old Shawn Joseph, a Cedar Park, TX, resident, who was reported missing after an incident of aggravated assault. The incident took place late Thursday evening, October 5, 2023, in the Walmart parking lot at 4700 E. Palm Valley Blvd in Round Rock.
Police responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle on Friday, October 6, 2023, and upon arrival, confirmed the vehicle belonged to Shawn Joseph. Investigators determined that Joseph was shot in the parking lot and was subsequently taken away from the scene by the suspect. The victim's current location remains unknown.
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Royce Loggins, has been arrested and taken into custody for aggravated assault by North Richland Hills Police officers. Loggins is currently being held in the North Richland Hills Detention Center and will be extradited back to Williamson County.
Authorities have clarified that this incident is isolated, and both the victim and the suspect were acquainted.
