On Friday, April 5, 2024, at around 8:33 p.m., the Fort Worth Police Department rushed to the 1000 block of NW 16th St. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he passed away after being taken to a nearby hospital.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim was sitting in a car when an unidentified assailant shot him at least once. The suspect fled the scene before the police arrived.
In response to the incident, the Fort Worth Police Department's Homicide Unit has launched an investigation and is actively pursuing various leads. They urge anyone with relevant video footage or information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
