On April 11, 2024, the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office revealed that 25-year-old Kemorrow Jones pleaded guilty to murder and received a 40-year prison sentence.
The incident dates back to November 16, 2020, when Jones entered a Fort Worth man's apartment and fatally shot him after firing multiple rounds. Jones then fled the scene with a duffel bag containing marijuana.
Assistant District Attorneys Ross Van de Kop II and Lisa Callaghan were involved in the case.
