Early Sunday morning, May 19th, at around 3:59 a.m., the Fort Worth Police Department responded to a shooting incident on the 3200 block of N. Main St. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. Despite efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries after being taken to a nearby hospital.
According to detectives, the victim had engaged in a verbal and physical altercation with unidentified individuals earlier in the day. After the initial confrontation, all parties dispersed but later returned to the scene. Another altercation ensued, resulting in gunfire exchanged between the victim and the suspects.
As of now, the suspect remains unidentified and at large. Homicide detectives are leading the investigation into the incident.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased once the next of kin has been informed.
