Hickory Creek Officer Indicted on Misuse of Information and Abuse of Capacity Charges

The Hickory Creek Police Department announced that Officer Sean Gabriel has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of Misuse of Official Information (PC 39.06(E)) and Abuse of Official Capacity (PC 39.02(b)). The case is being investigated by the Texas Rangers, with full cooperation from the department.

Following the indictment, Officer Gabriel voluntarily surrendered and has been arrested. In response, the department placed him on Administrative Leave, suspending all police powers and access, pending the outcome of an Internal Affairs investigation.

In a statement, the department emphasized that the alleged actions do not align with its values, ethics, or standards. They reaffirmed their commitment to integrity and accountability, stating that any behavior not meeting these standards will not be tolerated.
