On October 17, 2024, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a shooting call in the 2700 block of 2nd Avenue in South Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman who had been shot in a field. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Further investigation led to the identification of the suspect as 21-year-old Damarquis Green, who was arrested and charged with Murder. The case remains under investigation, documented under case number 158212-2024.
