Dallas Police Violent Crime Reduction Plan Leads to Multiple Arrests and Drug Seizure

On October 16, 2024, the Dallas Police Department's Place Network Investigation (PNI) Unit, alongside SWAT, the Gang Unit, and Southeast Patrol officers, executed a warrant at an apartment in the 2600 block of Jeffries Street. The operation resulted in the recovery of six stolen firearms, the arrest of five individuals, and the confiscation of a significant quantity of illegal drugs.

The seized drugs included 21 pounds of marijuana, THC wax, 300 grams of methamphetamine pills, promethazine, cocaine, and psilocybin "mushroom" chocolate bars.

Those arrested were identified as Lorenzo Hicks, 27; Brandon Hall, 22; Dalarry Runnels, 19; Brynae Jones, 27; and Ricky Morrison, 24. Charges include Possession of Marijuana, Manufacture/Delivery of Methamphetamine, Manufacture/Delivery of THC Wax, and Manufacture/Delivery of Cocaine.

This operation is part of the Dallas Police Department's ongoing Violent Crime Reduction Plan, a data-driven initiative launched in 2021 aimed at reducing violent crime in the city. The department continues to analyze and act on data to enhance public safety.
