On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at around 7:50 p.m., the Cleburne Police Department responded to an auto-pedestrian crash in the 1700 block of W. Henderson St. (Business U.S. Hwy 67). According to the initial investigation, Charles Richard Drum, 76, of Glen Rose, was crossing W. Henderson northbound when he fell in the roadway and was struck by an eastbound 2004 Toyota Tundra.
Drum was transported to Texas Health Cleburne, where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Toyota Tundra was uninjured. The crash occurred approximately 500 feet west of the intersection of W. Henderson St. and Nolan River Road.
The incident remains under investigation by the Cleburne Police Department.
