On November 2, 2024, Dallas Police Recruit Jason Orr was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety in Dallas for driving while intoxicated, classified as a Misdemeanor B. Orr, identified as Recruit #12737, was off-duty at the time of the incident.
Orr has been with the Dallas Police Department since May 2024, currently assigned to the Dallas Police Basic Academy. Following the arrest, he was placed on administrative leave as an Internal Affairs administrative investigation is underway.
