Singley Academy's Science Olympiad team showcased their skills at the Seven Lakes Invitational Tournament held last month in Katy. Competing against 52 teams from across the state, Singley finished 36th overall, with standout performances by Shuba Naima and Elnour Elnour, who earned first place in the Anatomy and Physiology event.
“Science Olympiad is one of the best clubs for any student that finds even the smallest iota of enjoyment in STEM," said team captain Marsiha Khan. "The many different events, from building to chemistry, allow all of us to hone our skills or explore something new, improving both individually and as a team.”
The team is now preparing for the regional competition, which will take place in Fort Worth on Saturday, March 8.
