On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Harold Wesley Gore, 79, of Killeen, was arrested on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Sexual Assault.
The arrest followed an investigation by the Bell County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division, Crimes Against Persons unit.
The investigation, which involved allegations of sexual abuse against a child, was presented to the Bell County District Attorney's Office. Upon review, complaints were issued for both felony offenses.
Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman issued arrest warrants for Gore.
Gore was apprehended at his home without incident by the Bell County Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Apprehension Team (VCAT), led by Lt. Mike Mingst.
Gore is currently being held in the Bell County Jail on a total bond of $250,000.
The Bell County Sheriff's Office does not release information on survivors of sexual assault to respect their privacy.
