Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the death of a 39-year-old male after a shooting in Killeen on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
At approximately 2:36 a.m., Killeen Police officers responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle near the intersection of Roy Reynolds Drive and E. Rancier Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the male victim with apparent gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began life-saving measures until paramedics arrived on the scene. The victim was transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Community Hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced him deceased at 3:28 a.m.
The victim's identity has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
