On January 29, 2025, Southlake Police detectives issued warrants for 28-year-old Mitchell Joseph Allan of Aubrey, Texas, on two charges of Indecency with a Child/Sexual Contact. Allan was arrested on February 1st by the Elm Ridge Police Department and booked into the Denton County Jail.
The charges against Allan stem from alleged abuse that occurred while he was working as a coach for a private basketball program.
Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation and the age of the victim, no further information is being released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
Southlake Police are urging parents with children who may have interacted with Allan to contact Detective Roberson with the department's Criminal Investigations Division at 817-748-8235 if they suspect any abuse.
