Charter School Teacher Arrested on Child Sexual Abuse Charges in Little Elm

LITTLE ELM, Texas - A 30-year-old former teacher at North Texas Collegiate Academy's East Campus has been arrested by the Little Elm Police Department in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of a child.

Eric Moore, of Frisco, was taken into custody on charges of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Conduct, a second-degree felony, and Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, a first-degree felony. The serious allegations stem from an ongoing criminal investigation at the charter school located at 1851 Oak Grove Parkway in Little Elm.

According to authorities, the case began on January 7, 2026, following an outcry and report from a victim or witness. In close coordination with school officials at North Texas Collegiate Academy, the Little Elm Police Department promptly launched an investigation that led to Moore's arrest.

The school placed Moore on administrative leave immediately upon receiving the report on January 7, and he subsequently resigned from his position.

Little Elm police emphasized their commitment to supporting the affected child and family, stating that they are working to connect them with appropriate resources, including counseling and victim services, as the investigation continues.

Moore was booked into the Denton County Jail following his arrest. No additional details about the number of victims or the specific nature of the alleged conduct have been released, as the investigation remains active.
