DALLAS, Texas — A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder following a late-night shooting in the Pleasant Grove area, according to Dallas police.
Officers responded around 12:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026, to a shooting call in the 120 block of Bridges Street. When officers arrived, they discovered 48-year-old Michael Ellegde suffering from a gunshot wound.
Ellegde was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that 19-year-old Isaac Amaya was the suspected shooter. Amaya was taken into custody and transported to the Dallas County Jail, where he was charged with Murder.
Dallas Police said the investigation remains ongoing under case number 024748-2026.
