FORT WORTH, Texas — A hit-and-run investigation Monday afternoon ended in a fatal crash following a brief police pursuit.

At approximately 4:38 p.m. on March 2, 2026, West Division officers were dispatched to a hit-and-run accident in the eastbound lanes of West Freeway near Horne Street. The caller reported his vehicle had been struck and that he was following the suspect vehicle after it failed to stop.

Officers later located the suspect vehicle near Camp Bowie Boulevard and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver did not yield, and a brief pursuit followed eastbound on Camp Bowie.
