FRISCO, Texas — A 50-year-old Waxahachie man has been arrested in connection with a 24-year-old murder case that investigators say remains active.
According to the Frisco Police Department, officers working alongside the Waxahachie Police Department arrested Jason Honrud on a murder warrant at approximately 7 a.m. on June 24.
The arrest is tied to the 2002 killing of Plano resident Frank Weiss, whose body was discovered near Lake Lewisville within Frisco city limits.
Investigators have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding Weiss' death or the evidence that led to Honrud's arrest.
Police confirmed that Honrud is married to Lisa Honrud, who was arrested in April in connection with the same homicide investigation. In May, a second arrest had been announced. Keith Hart was charged with Murder in the same case.
The murder remained unsolved for more than two decades before recent developments led to charges being filed against multiple suspects.
Frisco police said the investigation remains ongoing and are encouraging anyone with information related to the case or other potentially related offenses to come forward.
