DALLAS, Texas — Dallas police are investigating two separate fatal shootings that occurred less than two days apart and only blocks from one another on Linfield Road in the Cedar Crest neighborhood.
The first shooting occurred at approximately 2:25 a.m. on June 26 in the 3300 block of Linfield Road.
According to the Dallas Police Department, investigators determined that 31-year-old Lee Womack Jr. was shot by 21-year-old Jermiah Savage.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced Womack dead.
Police said Savage was arrested for a probation violation dealing with an Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child conviction. He was booked into the Dallas County Jail. Detectives said the case will be presented to a Dallas County grand jury for review.

A second homicide occurred the following afternoon, June 27, at approximately 2:09 p.m. in the 3900 block of Linfield Road, just blocks from the first crime scene.
Investigators said two men were shot multiple times by unknown suspects.
One victim, identified as 28-year-old Nigel Calhoun, died at the scene. The second victim was transported by Dallas Fire-Rescue to a hospital in critical condition.
No arrests have been made in the second shooting.
