At approximately 1 p.m. on Monday, May 29, Lewisville Police arrested 17-year-old Taylor Hooker, a Lewisville resident, on a murder warrant, for the fatal shooting at Central Park that occurred on Saturday, May 27.
Bond has not been set for Hooker as he has not been arraigned. He will go before a judge later today or first thing tomorrow.
Lewisville Police Department is still not releasing the identification of the victim, pending notification of family from the Medical Examiner.

Shortly after the fatal shooting at Central Park on Saturday, May 27, Lewisville Police Department detained one individual who ran from the scene. Originally considered a suspect, after interviewing that person, he was released. Several other people who stayed at the scene also were interviewed by investigators.
It has been determined that Lewisville Police Department is now looking for one suspect only.
Furthermore, investigators say the suspect and victim were acquaintances – this was not a random shooting.
At this time, Lewisville Police Department is not releasing the identification of the victim, pending notification of family. Also, Lewisville Police Department is not releasing the name of the suspect due to this being an ongoing investigation.
Even though this shooting involved two acquaintances who chose to meet up at Central Park, people who visit the park now will notice an increased police presence.
