In the early hours of July 2, 2023, at approximately 12:35 am, Tarrant County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported disturbance in the 1900 Block of Gale Drive in Pelican Bay. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered that a firework had exploded in close proximity to a juvenile male.
According to witnesses at the scene, the victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, sustained injuries as a result of the explosion. Prompt action was taken by individuals present, who promptly transported the injured youth to a local hospital using a private vehicle. Fortunately, medical examinations later revealed that the injuries were minor in nature.
At the time of reporting, law enforcement officials have not made any arrests in connection with the incident.
