Suspect Remains at Large Following High-Speed Chase and Hit-and-Run in Colleyville

On Friday, July 28, 2023, a high-speed police pursuit turned chaotic when a silver Dodge Charger fled from a Colleyville Police Officer after a routine traffic stop. The incident unfolded at approximately 7:33 pm in the 3900 block of Glade Road, where the suspect vehicle refused to yield to the officer's emergency equipment.

In an attempt to escape, the driver of the suspect vehicle recklessly drove eastbound into the westbound lanes of traffic under the overpass intersection of Glade Road and State Highway 121. Tragically, during this dangerous maneuver, the suspect vehicle collided with a gray Dodge Charger that happened to be in its path. The impact was severe, leaving the victim's vehicle inoperable and requiring it to be towed from the scene.

Notwithstanding the collision, the suspect continued fleeing from law enforcement, driving northbound on S.H. 121 before exiting onto F.M. 1709. During the escape, one of the suspect's tires was flattened, but this did not deter the individual from trying to evade capture. Eventually, in the 900 block of East S.H. 114 westbound, the suspect made the decision to abandon the damaged vehicle and flee on foot.

Authorities quickly established a perimeter in the area, enlisting support from multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Southlake Department of Public Safety, Keller Police Department, Grapevine Police Department, Trophy Club Police Department, and Roanoke Police Department. Together, they conducted an extensive search using Police K9s and drone resources, hoping to track down the suspect.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a red shirt or hoodie, but despite their efforts, he has not been located at this time.
