Erik Santos

On August 1, 2023, at approximately 4:50 PM, Garland Police and Garland Fire Department Paramedics responded to three overdose calls in the Coneflower Drive neighborhood. Two of the incidents occurred in the 200 block of Coneflower Dr, one at TGI Fridays, and the other at the AMC Movie Theatre in the 100 block of Coneflower Drive. The victims in all three cases were teenage females.

The Garland Fire Department arrived promptly at the scenes and administered Narcan, providing immediate medical attention that saved the lives of the young girls. They were rushed to a local hospital for further treatment and are currently in the process of recovery.

After the incidents, Garland Detectives and Investigators from the Garland Narcotics Unit launched a thorough investigation and identified 19-year-old Erik Santos as the supplier of the fentanyl pills that caused the overdoses. Santos was arrested and is being held in the Garland Detention Center. He faces three counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance Causing Serious Bodily Injury, which is a First Degree Felony.
