Crash in Weatherford Claims Life of Recent High School Graduate

On Sunday, October 15, around 1:15 a.m., emergency responders were called to a crash at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 51 and N. Bend Road, just north of Weatherford.

DPS investigators reported that a small passenger vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto FM 51 from N. Bend Road, resulting in a collision with two other cars.

The driver of the small passenger vehicle (Mini Cooper), 18-year-old Naomi Nash of Weatherford, who graduated from high school earlier this year, was pronounced deceased at the scene by PCHD EMS.

Preliminary investigation reveals that Nash failed to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic which lead to the devastating crash.

Three occupants in the Mini Cooper were injured, including 18-year-old Colby Harrison out of San Angelo; 18-year-old Kenneth Parrish from Ponder and 18-year-old Harley Blakeley out of Graford.

A second driver, a 26-year-old Carter Bobo of Springtown, was also injured.

All four were transported to Texas Health Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, while a fourth occupant, a 19-year-old Weatherford man, Dakota Graham, was not injured.

The drivers of the other two vehicles were not seriously hurt.

The investigation is ongoing.
