The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, on a private drive, near the 6300 block of Mirabella Blvd.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., a Dodge pickup truck was traveling on a private drive when a 3-year-old child ran into the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. The child was transported to a local hospital where medical staff later pronounced the child deceased.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once next of kin have been notified.
No criminal charges are expected to be filed.
This collision remains under investigation.
