Juvenile Burglary Suspect Apprehended by Lewisville Police After Neighborhood Vehicle Break-Ins

On the evening of October 9, 2023, Lewisville Police Patrol Officers swiftly responded to a call regarding a burglary in progress in the 400 block of Preston Oaks Drive. A citizen dialed emergency services to report that their vehicle was actively being burglarized.

The officers quickly converged on the scene, thanks to the alert call from the concerned citizen, and were provided with a clothing description of the suspect by the caller. Moments later, they spotted an individual in the area who matched the provided description.

Upon noticing the approaching police vehicle, the suspect took off at a full sprint in an attempt to evade capture. A foot pursuit ensued, with one of the officers giving chase. Eventually, the fleeing suspect was apprehended by the officer.

Subsequent investigation revealed that the apprehended individual had been responsible for multiple vehicle burglaries within the neighborhood. Shockingly, it was discovered that the suspect is a juvenile.

The juvenile suspect was detained for their alleged offenses and subsequently released into the custody of the Denton County Juvenile Detention Center.
