Late on Wednesday night, at approximately 11:45 p.m. on October 25, 2023, first responders rushed to the scene of a single vehicle crash in the 3900 block of SH-360. A vigilant witness had spotted the aftermath of the accident, which occurred when a car struck the guardrail and came to rest in the median.
Upon arrival, officers found the female driver of the vehicle unresponsive and not breathing. They immediately got her out of the car and began CPR until paramedics arrived.
The Grapevine Fire Department transported the injured woman to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Grapevine but medical professionals pronounced her deceased.
In the wake of this tragic incident, northbound lanes of SH-360 were temporarily closed for approximately four hours. The crash took place during a period of heavy rainfall, leading investigators to believe that adverse weather conditions may have played a role in the accident.
The driver has been identified as 27-year-old Tiyanna Shanell Taylor from Oklahoma City.
