In the early hours of Sunday, November 5th, 2023, at approximately 6:30 A.M., Haltom City officers and detectives responded to a disturbing incident in the 2900 block of Fincher Road. The incident involved a reported shooting, which led to a grim discovery.
Upon their arrival, officers entered the residence to find an adult female who had lost her life, and a male individual with critical injuries. Preliminary information suggests that the authorities are treating this as a possible murder and attempted suicide.
Local authorities have assured the community that this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no imminent threat to the residents in the vicinity. Haltom City detectives and evidence technicians have been processing the scene and are actively investigating the incident.
The injured male was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to face criminal charges, though his identity will not be disclosed until after arraignment by a magistrate.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is set to determine the cause and manner of death, as well as release the identity of the deceased female, once their investigation is concluded.
