Injured Boyd Police Sergeant Released From Physical Therapy Center, Receives Warm Welcome from North Texas Law Enforcement Agencies

The Boyd Police Department announced today that Sergeant Bobby Faglie, a dedicated motor officer, has been released from the Rehab/Physical Therapy center in Decatur. The official statement, issued by the Boyd Police Department on November 20, 2023, expressed the department's joy in reporting Faglie's recovery progress.

Sergeant Faglie had been undergoing rehabilitation since November 17, 2023, following an unfortunate incident on November 2. While riding his patrol motorcycle home, Faglie was struck by a car attempting to turn into a driveway on Farm Road 1655, as detailed by Boyd Police Chief Jason Schmidt.

In a heartening turn of events, Sergeant Faglie was escorted home on Friday, November 17, by numerous North Texas Law Enforcement Agencies, showcasing the strong sense of camaraderie among regional law enforcement. The support from fellow officers and agencies has been a source of gratitude for the Boyd Police Department, as mentioned in their official statement.

Sergeant Faglie is reportedly healing well and is eager to return to duty. The Boyd Police Department extended their appreciation to the various law enforcement agencies that rallied to support Sergeant Faglie during his recovery.
