In the early hours of Thursday, November 23, 2023, a suspect escaped custody during transportation by Duncanville Police to the DeSoto Regional Jail. While in the sallyport, the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Jonathan Paul Harlan from DeSoto, managed to escape and ran into a field north of the DeSoto Police Department.
Responding to the situation, law enforcement agencies collaborated in the effort to locate and apprehend the suspect. With the assistance of Wilmer Police K9, Cedar Hill Police K9, Lancaster PD K9, and DeSoto Police Resources, officers successfully captured Jonathan Paul Harlan.
