Haltom City Police High-Speed Chase Ends in Downtown Dallas Crash, Multiple Injuries Reported

In the early hours of Sunday, February 25, 2024, a dramatic high-speed chase ensued, leaving several individuals injured. At approximately 1:30 am, a Haltom City Police officer spotted a black Mustang driving recklessly along the 4000 block of Denton Highway. Despite attempts to pull over the vehicle, the driver refused to stop, leading to a pursuit that extended into Dallas.

The pursuit culminated in a collision at the intersection of Continental Avenue and the IH-35 service road, where the Mustang collided with an SUV. Both occupants of the SUV sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

The Mustang, carrying a driver and three passengers, eventually came to a halt following the crash. All occupants, including the driver, were transported to local hospitals to receive treatment for injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Due to the ages of the individuals involved, authorities have refrained from disclosing their identities or further details of the incident at this time.

The driver of the Mustang, once medically cleared, is expected to face charges including Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle and Driving Under the Influence, among others that may be added as the investigation progresses.
