During disciplinary hearings held on November 14, 2024, Interim Police Chief Igo announced the termination of three officers due to various policy violations and criminal charges.

Sergeant Ruben Lozano (#9732) from the Central Patrol Division was terminated for engaging in sexual conduct while on duty, providing untruthful statements during an internal investigation, and facing charges of Assault Bodily Injury – Family Violence and Unlawful Restraint from warrants issued by the Irving Police Department.

Senior Corporal James William Goetz (#9565) with the Special Victims Division was terminated following his arrest by the Pilot Point Police Department on a Driving While Intoxicated charge.

Police Officer Kristin Henry (#11215) from the Northeast Patrol Division was terminated for Off-Duty Employment Policy and Body Worn Camera Policy violations. She was also found to have received wage supplementation while working off-duty assignments under a light duty status. According to her linkedin profile, she had been with the DPD since September, 2016.
Each officer’s conduct was determined to adversely affect their standing in the department.
